The Fuji Racing Track Attack 25-row engine oil cooler has been rigorously tested over the course of 2023 and early 2024, including extensive evaluation on the demanding Nürburgring circuit. The results of these tests have unequivocally demonstrated the oil cooler’s exceptional performance and reliability under challenging track conditions. Unlike typical brief testing periods of just 15 to 20 minutes, the Fuji cooler has endured continuous, high-intensity track days, with some sessions lasting over 2 hours. The only reason they returned to the pits was for refuelling and quickly resumed track activities thereafter.
Throughout testing, the oil temperatures remained impressively stable, fluctuating between 110°C and 120°C, even during periods of heavy traffic and while pursuing other vehicles on the track. The cooler proved its mettle during Misha’s flat-out lap at the Nürburgring, handling the extreme conditions without any signs of overheating. After completing one high-speed lap around the famous circuit, the peak oil temperature was recorded at just 98°C. This performance indicates that this oil cooler is capable of handling extended track sessions without any concerns about overheating. It’s worth noting that top automotive manufacturers often choose the Nürburgring to test their high-performance vehicles—if this oil cooler can endure the rigors of this legendary track, it is more than capable of meeting the demands of any racetrack globally.
One critical observation Fuji have made is that no single off-the-shelf oil cooler kit can meet the diverse needs of every vehicle, given the countless variations in configurations such as induction kits, brake ducts, intercooler kits, and other modifications. It is simply not feasible to create a universal kit that achieves optimal performance across every car model. To address this challenge, they have designed the Fuji Racing Track Attack oil cooler to be versatile and adaptable for a wide range of applications.
The kit contains all the fundamental components necessary for effective engine oil cooling. Central to the kit is a high-performance 330mm, 25-row engine oil cooler, which is designed for flexibility in mounting. It can be positioned in various locations at the front of the vehicle to suit individual setups.
To facilitate installation, the kit includes 3 meters of 200-series oil-resistant high-temperature hose, providing ample length for mounting the cooler in front of the radiator or the right-hand inner wing/fender. Furthermore, the kit is equipped with an engine block union adapter to ensure proper connection to the engine. For the fittings, Fuji provide four 90-degree AN10 swivel fittings and two straight AN10 swivel fittings. The straight fittings cater to setups where the oil cooler is positioned in front of the radiator, while the 90-degree fittings are ideal for installations within the inner wing.
Importantly, the kit does not include fitting brackets. This is because the wide range of vehicle configurations makes it impossible to provide a standardized mounting solution. However, users can easily fabricate these brackets as needed for their specific vehicles using 2mm alloy bar and rubber bobbin mounts, ensuring a secure and customized installation of the oil cooler.
